Assessment

In order to establish a counselling relationship it is important to have an initial assessment before beginning ongoing sessions. The assessment appointment is the first 50 minute session; this session is used to explore the possibility of you and your therapist working together. You can discuss your aims and expectations, goals and any anxieties or questions you may have. Your therapist will also explain their policy on confidentiality, fees, cancellations and appointment times which will form the basis of a counselling contract.

You are under no obligation during the assessment session or at any other time during therapy to book further sessions with your therapist. However we require 48 hours notice, should you wish to cancel a session that has been pre-arranged. If you do decide to start counselling, you and your therapist can agree to meet for an agreed number of sessions that you feel is right for you.

Our prices are determined by the therapist you arrange to see and the time of your appointment. Therefore, please refer to the Our Therapist page to view the individual therapist rates.

We offer a low-cost counselling service. Should you qualify the sessions range from £20 per session. This service is highly in demand and therefore please contact us for further information.
